Dr Dheeraj Chopra

Dheeraj (Raj) has been at Murton Dental Care since 2016 and provides a range of dental treatments.
Raj qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2010 and joined the Royal Collage of Surgeon and Physicians (RCPS) of Glasgow as a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) in 2012.
He completed his General Professional training at the Newcastle Dental Hospital following graduation including experience within restorative dentistry, oral surgery, oral medicine, sedation and emergency dentistry. During this time he also completed the ‘core course in Conscious sedation’ from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Raj is a certified Invisalign, Inman Aligner and QST practitioner and is currently completing a Diploma in Orthodontics, in order to provide more complex orthodontic treatment using bother aligners and fixed braces. Raj has completed a postgraduate certificate course in contemporary restorative and cosmetic dentistry at the renowned Dominic Hassall Training Insitiute and is continually keeping up to date with the latest procedures including using the injectable composite technique, SmileFast.
Rajs previous posts have included working as Prison Dental Officer across the north east prisons and worked as an associate in Jarrow, South Tyneside for many years. He currently also works for the Northern Doctors Urgent Care (NDUC) providing out of hours emergency dental cover across Newcastle and Northumberland.
Outside of Dentistry, Raj is a keen Golf player and regularly plays 5-aside football and is otherwise kept busy with his wife and two young daughters.
Dr Tanya Vyland

Tanya graduated from Peninsula school of Medicine and Dentistry in 2014 and started her early career in Bristol. Since then she relocated back to the North East and has worked within a busy NHS and private practice. Prior to dentistry, Tanya also graduated with a degree in Applied biomedical sciences and worked within a hospital setting.
Tanya is constantly developing her skills and knowledge within Dentistry and has completed courses such as Quick straight teeth and C-Fast cosmetic teeth alignment. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially cosmetic dentistry and is currently completing her Restorative Dentistry learning with Dr Paul Tipton based in Manchester.
Aside from dentistry, Tanya also has a keen interest in Facial Aesthetics. She trained with various internationally accredited trainers some of which are based in the world renown Harley street in London. She enjoys treating all aspects of the face, especially lip enhancement. She focuses on the naturally enhancing the face in a safe effective manner. Tanya has also trained in medical grade skincare products and enjoys carrying out skin rejuvenation treatments. Tanya is GDC registered, fully indemnified and is also a member of the Aesthetic Complications expert (ACE) group.
Dr Filipe Mendes

Filipe graduated from Portugal in 2010. He has lived and worked in the North East for the last 11 years.
Filipe has undertaken many hours of post-graduate dental education in the field of Cosmetic Dentistry, under the tutelage of some of the world’s leading cosmetic dentists. He completed a two year-long Restorative Dentistry course with the internationally-renowned Dr Paul Tipton. He has also attended various courses in Short Term Cosmetic Orthodontics in order to provide his patients with the latest modern techniques in minimally invasive dentistry .
He has a keen interest in composite bonding and completed his training with the world leading cosmetic dentist Monik Vasant and the famous instagram dentist Robbie Hughes.
Aside from general dentistry, Filipe has worked many years as clinical supervisor mentoring overseas dentists in their vocational training program.
Away from work, Filipe enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and he is passionate about health and wellness.
