Safety and Confidentiality
Health and Safety
We take all necessary precautions to safeguard both patients and staff. We have an infection control policy and follow all recommended guidelines with regard to the sterilisation of instruments and the use of disposable items. Patient medical histories are checked at each visit. We are registered with the Health and Safety Executive and Quality Care Commission.
All staff have regular training for management of medical emergencies. All essential sterilisation and instrument processing equipment is regularly checked and revalidated.
We operate a very strict confidentiality policy surrounding patient records and information. Murton Dental Care is committed to protecting the personal information of all visitors to the surgery and this web site. We recognise our obligation to keep personal information secure and believe it is important for our patients and web site users to know how we treat their personal information. All staff are trained in confidentiality and third-party access to records is only granted at the express wish of the patient. This organisation does not sell, trade, provide or rent personal information to third parties. We are registered with and compliant with the Information Commissioner
We take complaints extremely seriously, and try to ensure that all our patients are completely delighted with their experience at our surgery. When patients raise concerns, they are dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible. A comments box is always available in the waiting area, and an appointment with the lead dentist is available on request to discuss any concerns you may have. We also accept complaints via email if more convenient.
