At Murton Dental Care we are pleased to offer a full range of NHS dental treatment. Once you have had your check up, your dentist will explain to you your treatment need which is likely to fall into one of the 3 bands of treatment outlined below.
It is important to understand that NHS treatment is there to provide good quality, basic treatments for adequate dental health and function, and that cosmetic treatments are not available under the NHS. These can still be provided to you, but on a private basis.
Private dentistry allows you to benefit from a wider range of materials and treatments. Such treatments which would be deemed cosmetic, and therefore not available under the NHS, include tooth whitening, white composite fillings in back teeth, certain white crowns chosen for cosmetic reasons, and tooth cleaning or polishing requested for non-health reasons.
If you are unsure about anything regarding your treatment, please speak to your dentist who will help you with your decision.
